Triple Tagged

First, the sweetheart tag from Erin (love it when visiting teaching allows you to make a great friend!!):

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is your husbands name?Russell Dean Bigelow- he hates his middle name!!
How long have you guys been married?14 years, 2 months, 25 days, 3 hours
How long did you date?Rusty took me on my first date about a week after I turned 16. We went to Show Low and saw "Weekend at Bernies" at that old theater that used to be right by the main intersection. We dated 1 1/2 years until he left on his mission, then another 1 1/2 years after his mission until we got married.
How old is he? 36 (and yes, I did have to subtract 1972 from 2008 to be able to remember his age!!)
Who is taller?Rusty by 1/4 inch!!
Who can sing best? we're about equal there, and neither one of us is exactly bursting with talent!
Who is smarter? Rusty
Who does laundry? I sort of do it, and when it gets piled up in the living room and starts to annoy him, he will put it away. But he has a hard time telling what clothes belong to what kid (execpt for Katie, of course!).
Who pays the bills ? me, and I don't like it!
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? me, always and forever
Who mows the lawn? Sam
Who cooks dinner? Me, except for New Year's Day when he makes the most delicous crepes ever. He learned how on his mission.
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? I wouldn't know, because I've never been wrong!! JK. We don't fight. We silently brood until one of us decides to start talking again. Yes, we should probably go to counseling for this!
Who kissed who first? RUSTY, and this is still a long standing argument. But as I mentioned before, I am always right. It was on Friday. October 13, 1989, in front of his mom's house.
Who wears the pants? for those of you who don't read Erin's blog, I loved her answer: " he wears the pants, but I buckle the belt.;)" I don't know about us. He's really not controlling or bossy in any way, and neither am I. I'm going to ask Russ what he thinks. . . .
And now, a combined "Eight things" tag from Rachell and Rachel!!
Eight things I am passionate about/obsessed about:
1. Reverence in primary, real reverence, not just being quiet
2. Next year's primary theme, which I think is going to be challenging
3. figuring out how to get kids to do chores w/o being asked
4. reeses peanut butter cups
5. killing germs
6. Sam says I am obsessed with our blog and with facebook
7. my kids. love them!!
8. reading
Eight phrase I use alot:
1. did you remember to wash your hands?
2. flush and wash!!
3.I just asked Katie, and she said: "There's this really cool thing called the trash can." I say this when I pick up trash that the children in this family leave on the floor. Way too often!
4.Matthew's answer: cuss words. Thank you, Matthew.
5. Sam: after reading this list, says he was going to give Matt's answer. I'm starting to think maybe I swear more than I think I do!!
6. Nathan's answer: " some bad things and some good things. " Me: What are the good things? N: I don't remember. What are the bad things? N: you say "go get dressed" and you make us cry. Oh. the good things you say are " go get dressed, please." I never should've asked my kids for help on this!!
7. This week, which I spent at the junior high, I often said, "would you like to have lunch detention?" and "please be quiet" and "everybody needs to sing. now", and to myself I said, "these kids are obnoxious" and "what has gone so wrong in this kid's life that he has to act this way?" and "if my kids acted this way at school I would kill them" and "they do not pay me enough!!"
8. I love how Rachel said that she often says, "Dear Heavenly Father". I'm going to steal this answer. I'm trying to say this much more often!
Eight things I want to do before I die:
1. go on a mission with rusty
2. be in the temple with all of my kids
3. go to switzerland/france to see Rusty's mission
4. family history trip to England, and another one to Canada
5. be organized
6. be skinny again
7. know that I am doing the work Heavenly Father sent me here to do, and that I am doing it well.
8. somehow repay my parents for all they do for me
Eight things I need right now:
1. to get off the computer and get something accomplished
2. to go switch the laundry
3. to figure out how to get Sam out of the horrendous teenage mood he is in today!!
4. to find my temple recommend, which kept us from last night's ward temple trip. Horrible.
5. water
6. to get ready for Primary tomorrow
7. to clean the kitchen
8. it has taken me so long to do this that now I need to go switch the laundry again!
Eight places I would like to visit:
1. Disneyland, soon, with my family
2. Amherstberg, Ontario, Canada
3. Switzerland/France
4. the new Dollar Tree in Show Low. Yea!!!
5. Nauvoo
6. St. George to see Jody
7. Bullion Plaza Elementary School in Miami, and the old library there, too. To see if they both look like I remember them from elementary school.
8. Japan, where Christy and River are right now!
Eight Restaurants:
1. Chalos in Globe. The best ever!! Bean burro with a side of rice, every single time.
2. Java Blues
3. Olive Garden. Could they just put one in Show Low already?!
4. Molly Butlers, where Russ took me last night when I was pretty sad about the temple recommend thing!
5. sonic for a strawberry slush- which I don't have anymore since I found out how many calories those things have!
6. Joe's BBQ in Gilbert. Where do they get baked potatoes that big?!
7. Ok. I love the temple cafeteria!!
8. bear wallow in Alpine
Eight TV shows:
1. Smallville
2. Heroes
3. I don't watch ER anymore, but we watched it last Thursday and it was so cool to see Dr. Greene again!! I miss those great ER days!
4. American Idol
5. Glenn Beck
6. Little House on the Prairie reruns
7. I'm going to watch the Bachelor this time, maybe. Haven't watched the last few.
8. How it's made on Discovery. That show is cool.
Thanks for the 80's memories. Although my memory from that decade is faint :), I still love the music. George Michael, The Smiths, the good ole days of U2...ahh, why can't they make good music anymore?
Glad to hear you guys are doing well. We miss Eagar!
