Sam just finished up the fall semester school play and had a blast!! He got to play a really fun character (the "hates to work" part of it wasn't much of a stretch!) A few days before the performances, he got a little sore throat/cold that turned into a full-blown asthma attack the night before the first show. With lots of prayer and albuterol he made it through the four shows with a little bit of a raspy voice. We're so grateful to Vanessa Flores and Darla Udall, who worked so hard with these kids. The best thing about this play was that there wasn't really a lead role, but lots of great parts that let lots of kids shine! Here's one of Sam's scenes:

Great job Sam! I wish our school district did plays. They have a couple really cool stages. Don't know what the problem is... sigh!
Way to go Sam! The raspy voice just adds character!
can't believe that quiet little Sam from pre-l is such a star! what a kid! nanny
I loved those plays. There so fun to see. The kids always do such a good job too
