Labor Day. . .

Because I am a procrastinator ("I'll just take some pictures tomorrow"), this is the only picture I have of our fun labor day weekend. We planned to go camping with some friends from our ward, and talked Mark & Suzanne Willis into coming with us, because the Bigelow kids just aren't happy anywhere anymore unless the Willis kids are there! Rain was expected Friday night, so we all went to the football game and set out to camp early Saturday morning. We finally found a campsite, set up all our stuff, and then had a really fun day. The kids rode around on 4-wheelers and played like crazy. The guys tried to sneak off to the river to fish, but ended up with almost all the kids :-), so Suzanne, Rachell, and I talked and relaxed until almost dark. We made chimichangas and were just ready to sit by the fire and make smores when the rain started.

We all hung out under the canopies until we decided it wasn't going to stop raining, so we all went to bed. Or tried to, anyway. It was raining like crazy, which is a wonderful sound unless you're in a leaking tent!! About 2 in the morning the Willises were soaked in their tent so they loaded up and went home. Russ and I and the kids huddled in the middle of our tent and stayed mostly dry.

Sunday morning Rachell and I drove into town for church, planning to go back in the afternoon. After church, Rusty and Jeff- still getting poured on at the campsite- decided to pack everything up and come home. So here's a picture of my two wet, dirty little boys dropping camping stuff off at Mark & Suzanne's house.

The camping trip didn't turn out as planned, but like Mark said- it's all about making memories!
