Last Week

Katie gets soaked at the 4th ward summertime scripture olympics!

Wow- it is already Thursday and I realized I haven't taken time to write down what we did last week. This is about all I can remember (I'm getting old!):

• dryer dies (it has been prayed back to life - literally- many times before, but no luck this time!), so we get to fork out lots of money for a new one


• supercrazy but fun Primary activity


• helping Rachell make lots and lots of CDs for their very cool visiting teaching drive-thru interview thing


• hanging out and doing nothing at my mom's, but it's just nice to be there


• Sam's week at scout camp: he did fine for a boy who really just doesn't like camping (three reasons: 1. he went camping once with Rusty about 2 hours from our house, puked in the night all over the tent --a bratwurst, if we want to go into how truly disgusting it was--then Russ had to bring him home and travel back the next morning- Sam hasn't enjoyed camping since then! 2. His parents really haven't taken him camping very much, mostly because Rusty's job is so super busy in the summer and being a mom alone with five kids is challenging enough at home, let alone taking five kids camping by myself! 3. Sam is very much like his mom and likes his own bed and a daily shower!)


• Eagar Daze- Russ took the kids and I took a nap, which was very much needed!
• found out which teachers the kids will have next year and I don't have any complaints
• tried to figure out how to deal with a Primary that has grown from about 25 quiet kids to a pretty big and boisterous group, with LOTS of sunbeams and CTR 5/6s. We now have a teacher for every single class (2nd Sunday in my 8 months of being Pres) and I'm sure hoping it lasts. Brother Haws, who has to do all the callings, is probably hoping so too!!
