Weekly Update May 12-18: Call me Ironman Bigelow
This was the week where Nathan decided not to be Nathan anymore: "I am not Nathan. I am Ironman. Ironman Bigelow."
Monday: Greer field trip with Matt (hiking and playing in the creek), left early to turn in Katie's science fair project that she finished this morning (I just know she won't win a ribbon and she'll learn a valuable lesson about procrastination), went to a baptism at 4:30, katie had practice at 5:00, acted out the Prodigal Son story for FHE: we seem to have some very dramatic children!
Tuesday: I worked the morning at the Primary School learning how to do the DAY-C test, which determines if little kids qualify for the district's preschool--went to the school board meeting at 6:00, came home at 7:00 to find that someone had opened our headgate so irrigation was flooding into our backyard, so we had fun containing that and then flooding the front yard with our regular irrigation turn. It is a blessing that we're very thankful for.
Wednesday: My adventure subbing the last week of school with a bunch of crazy 7th graders begins. Science fair open house at 5:30, and lo and behold Katie wins second place and doesn't learn any lesson at all!--Katie's viola concert at 7:00- she loves playing the viola!
Thursday: Another day at 7th grade- got to bust up a fist fight! I look at some of these kids and wonder what happened or who never cared for them enough when they were little. Such sad things. Katie had a game at 5:00.
Friday: Katie and Rusty went to Albuquerque with the 5th grade, I met with a school psychologist, DJ's teacher and principal to make a plan for him: he has been so well taken care of by his teacher and school this year and we are very thankful. Spent the rest of the day visiting teaching, chaufferring children around, and trying to catch up on Primary stuff.
Saturday: Got the brilliant idea to rearrange and deep clean bedrooms, but I can't finish one before I start another, so pretty soon the whole house is torn up. I really hate it when I do that, but it probably won't be the last time!
Sunday: church (love Primary!), nap, sat on the front porch, put kids to bed and Russ and I watched Juno. Oh my. I kept waiting for Napoleon Dynamite to walk in! What a spiritual way to end the Sabbath Day .

Busy..Busy...Busy! How do you keep up with it all??
I love when you post your whole week. I did my flower drying assignment the night before by pressing them with an iron and got an A.
