Homecoming

Homecoming is a big deal around here. The kids had fun dress-up spirit days all week, which I didn't take any pictures of :-) Friday I subbed 4th grade, and the excitement was in the air (or in other words, the kids could NOT be quiet!!) Thank goodness we got out early for the parade.!

The parade lines up right in front of our house, and it's quite a zoo. Here's my gorgeous niece Macie:

My favorite part- the band. Good memories, but not necessarily of having to walk from Eagar to the end of Springerville in a heavy black uniform, trying to stay on the right foot!

The kids' favorite part- lots and lots of CANDY!!

Katie and all the other string players played "twinkle twinkle little star" (the homecoming theme was "shoot for the stars") on their cute float.

At the game, the man at the end of our row looked eerily like my Grandpa Elmer who died before Rusty and I got married. If the same man sits by us at the game on October 31, I might be a little creeped out :-)

The game was TENSE for awhile, but we easily won in the end. We sat close to the Snowflake side of the dome, and their fans got very, very quiet towards the end :-)

After the game, people go out on the field, My kids love it. This time we brought a football to throw around:

Wish I could have seen grampa elmer too. That also would mean that gramma was with him. She would probably be in the bathroom or by the band dancing! You have a most fun family. mom

That looks so fun! We never got out of school early for the High School Homecoming parades! I love that small towns are so involved and supportive! We sure miss you guys!
