I tucked Nathan into bed (my bed, since he thinks he needs to keep me company when Russ is gone) tonight and asked him if he wanted to say his prayers. "Yep, and it's going to be a long one."
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this wonderful day. Bless dad when he fights the red fire. Bless dad to be safe. Bless Landon (pronounces it like Raddon) on his mission. In the name of. . .oh wait. . .bless superman. And the justice league. And help us be good. And help Batman and the justice league to be safe. And bless us to not hit people. And bless that moms never slap other people (for the record, I have never slapped one of my kids!!) In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. See mom, I told you it would be long.

I love it! You're such a good mom...never slapped your kids! Wow! I hope I can be that kind of mom. Then again, my older brother used to tell my mom, "Mom can you just spank me and be over with it?!"...I guess my mom's lectures were worse than a spanking he,he!
