The BIG 1-3!!

We've got a teenager in the house! A few weeks ago Sam said, "only a couple weeks until I turn totally evil, mom!" So I reminded him that he's a really good boy and he'll be a great teenager. (please!)

Here's a birthday report and 13 things about SAM:


Sam got to spend the day in Show Low with my parents- they ate pizza, went to the Incredible Hulk, and my very generous and kind parents bought him an IPOD for his birthday. When he got home we had cheeseburgers, cake, and opened presents- Indiana Jones legos and new scriptures (which I'm sure he liked more than the IPOD- ha!)

1. Sam LOVES to read. Right now he's reading the Lord of the Rings books. He's always reading something.

2. Sam loves legos, gameboy, xbox, swimming, and mowing the lawn. (well, maybe love is too strong of a word for the lawn!)

3. Sam is now taller than his parents, and very proud of the fact. Let's hope he doesn't stop growing now!

4. Sam has a cute little mustache that must be shaved off regularly :-)

5. Sam wishes he could have his own room.

6. Sam is very smart and does really well in school. He loves to learn.

7. Sam wants to work for PIXAR when he grows up.

8. Sam is a pretty good cook. Not such a good "cleaner-upper".

9. Sam loves being in the middle school plays. He surprises people who think he is quiet and shy!

10. Sam seems to take great joy in annoying his parents. One of his favorite ways is to say hi to us at random moments throughout the day. This is all a big mystery to me.

11. Sam is pretty creative and funny.

12. Sam is a great trumpet player.

13. Sam is getting more handsome every day! (I just wrote that so I can see the embarrassed look on his face when he reads this!) Love you lots and lots, Sam!
